Fundraising Events
The White Bear Lake Lions Club is a service-orientated organization, with about 70 members who are involved in numerous service projects and fund-raising events throughout the year. Proceeds of the fund-raising events are given to our community and worthy causes.
If the heart and soul of Lionism is the helping of other people and the community, then fundraising is the heartbeat of the club.
Here are some of the ways that our club raises funds:
Charitable Gambling
The White Bear Lake Lions Club charitable gambling locations are operated and managed at each location by the White Bear Lake Lions Club staff. All charitable gambling proceeds are returned to the community.

Bear Water Run
The White Bear Lake Lions Club has held the Bear Water Run event annually to raise funds that support the Club’s long-standing work where proceeds are returned to the White Bear Lake community.
Bear Water Run was started in 2000 after the Lions Club was searching for new fundraising ideas. At the time, some club members were runners, so the Lions Club developed a running race event to take advantage of the beautiful lake which is central to the community. Bear Water Run has turned into the most profitable event the club performs. Many runners share that Bear Water Run is their favorite race of the year.
WBL Toy Shelf
The White Bear Lake (WBL) Lions Club has been operating and managing the WBL Toy Distribution for 20 years. The program is designated to help families in the 624 School District with toys that might otherwise not be able to afford Christmas for their families. The club collects toys and funds from various organizations including the school district.
